Overview

PDS Consultants Inc. is an Optical Laboratory located in Louisville, KY which manufactures a large number of eyeglasses each day. Many of the eyeglasses produced are for United States Veterans, which PDS takes great pride in. Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for a motivated individual to work as a Frame Clerk in our optical lab!

As a Frame Clerk you are responsible for keeping stock and pulling frame styles selected by the customer for each order. If you can thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have strong attention to detail, and are results driven, then apply today!

This is an entry-level position with hours from 7:30am-4:00pm. Employees will be trained, but optical or stocking experience is helpful. The starting wage for this position is $12.00/hr. Those with optical experience may be considered for more pay.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

-Know the order of production and make sure the “PRIORITY JOBS” are ran first
-Learn and retain knowledge of frame types, sizes, colors, etc.
-Read work ticket to select proper frame style and send to appropriate department
-Scanning trays in and out of your area
-Order and prepare frame kits for different fitting sites
-Maintain adequate inventory and order frames as needed
-Check all packing slips on incoming deliveries and turn into Accounts Payable Department

Work Environment

This position is located in our Frame Department of our optical laboratory and operates in a production/manufacturing type setting. The temperature can sometimes be warm, and the noise level can be somewhat loud. This position also requires working in close proximity to a diverse group of other co-workers. #JT
