PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an Assembler, in Salt Lake City, UT.
Job Description:
- Substantial and thorough understanding with assembly of electrical components to include terminating, crimping, splicing, applying solder sleeves, terminating wire, cable building, etc.
- Experience dealing with ESD sensitive products
- Assists in developing and documenting standardized assembly methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity
- Assists in development of assembly procedures
- Assists in the improvement of assembly processes
- Assists to assure accuracy and completeness of assembled products.
- Works well with others in assembling products in accordance with engineered drawing, parts lists, change notices and other applicable documents.
- Assists in troubleshooting basic issues related to the assembly of products
- Ability to understand and follow established practices and procedures
- Works well under general supervision
- Ability to solder (e.g. build cables, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with organizational personnel and customers to obtain or provide information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the LW site.
- This position is for 1st shift (7am-3:30 pm)
- May require up to 10% travel domestically
- Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
- Must be computer literate and able to navigate computer
- Successfully completing training is a contingency for this assignment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Highly preferred: Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- IPC 610 & 620 certification or related experience
- J-Std Module 1,2, & 3 certification or related experience
- Experience dealing with fiber optic cables
Education / Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
