What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at PDS Management Services, LLC?

The Controller works under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer. Position incumbent is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted account principles and that of the company

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.

2. Minimum 3 years of accounting/finance experience

3. Excellent communication skills.

4. Excellent computer skills and knowledge.

Excellent time management and organization skills; ability to prioritize own workload and multitask effectively and independently

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage accounts payable and payroll functions to include reviewing payrolls before they are processed. This includes funding and reviewing all checks and supporting documentation before approval

2. Prepare monthly financial statements such as balance sheet, statement of cash flows and income statement. This includes recording and reviewing month end entries and supporting schedules.

3. Write with assistance the monthly MD&A. Prepare Webster monthly reporting.

4. Prepare and sign quarterly covenant reporting.

5. Assist in the preparation of the quarterly board meeting package materials.

6. Maintain and update cash projections.

7. Prepare annual budget.

8. Coordinate completion of the annual audit with the independent auditors, including preparation of year end schedules and analyses.

9. Prepare supporting schedules for tax accountants.

10. Respond to federal, state, and local government agencies tax notices.

11. Provide data for various audits- e.g. insurance, state.

12. Prepare supporting schedules to secure all insurance coverages.

13. Participate in weekly calls with Webster principal.

14. Prepare financial .analyses as necessary

15. Work collaboratively with human resources department as it pertains to benefits, payroll, and Balance Point. The controller will also serve as back-up in Human Resources Manager’s absence.

16. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION & MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Supervise Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist.

2. Reports to Chief Operating Officer with dotted line to the CEO.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
