Job Summary:
This is a position requires a master's degree in Nursing and must have graduated from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program, with specialty in Psychiatry. Must submit protocols with supervising physician(s) with the Board of Nursing. This position will complete a mixture of inpatient (60%) and outpatient (40%) psychiatric medication management work with adults, children, and adolescents.

- Provides and documents psych-pharmacological management.
- Provides and documents psychoeducation to clients and their families as appropriate.
- Participates in peer review.
- Flexibility to cover other locations when inpatient APRN is out-of-office.
- Member of professional committees as appointed.
Qualifications:
Education:
Requires a master's degree in Nursing and have graduated from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program, with specialty in Psychiatry.
Experience:
Evidence of clinical experience & competency
Assessment and diagnostic skills commensurate with education
Certifications:
Active and clear Florida License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Protocols with a supervising physician with the Board of Nursing
Training:
Must meet all requirements for credentialing within the agency.
Completion of continuing education as required for licensure in the State of Florida: Biennium 24 CEUs: 1 in domestic violence and 1 in AIDs.
20 hours professional enhancement training annually including all PRC required. (Inclusive of CEU)

The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the job is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings etc. to another PRC location.
