ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Director of the Library, the individual holding this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:• Provides walk-in, telephone, and email reference services.• Assists patrons with finding appropriate research resources.• Troubleshoots and resolves basic computer problems in the Library.• Performs routine circulation operations within the Mandarin Integrated Library System.• Ensures materials are accurately shelved.• Assists with interlibrary loan services.• Instructs patrons on use of the facility and resources.• Assists with materials processing, inventory, and resource evaluation.• May assist with training and guidance provided to student workers.• Works on projects in collaboration with other departments on campus as needed.• Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESMay direct the work of student employees.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
