PeaceHealth is seeking a Accountant Foundation for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $30.22 – $45.32. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

Responsible for a wide range of accounting work requiring critical thinking, knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, treasury management, knowledge of tax laws, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with many deadlines. May also include work with system implementations, audit, reporting needs. Performs planning and coordination of complex accounting activities.
What you will enjoy:
- Reviews journal entries and reconciliation files for standard format and accuracy. Performs complex month-end and year-end processing calculations. Performs high-level accounting assignments. Assignments may include audit work, tax work, software projects, process improvement and efficiency work, or other assignments as needed. Produces and analyzes financial statements and prepares narratives about financial statements results.
- Ensures the preparation and publication of monthly financial reporting packages for all Peacehealth foundations, prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assists in systems and job training and supervision of staff.
- Works to increase software functionality and efficiencies in process and standardization.
- Assists customers in problem solving and resolution.
- Coordinates communications with banks and vendors. Assists with needed vendor relationship management.
- Provides products and services to meet the needs and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Performs treasury management functions, such as movement of funds between various financial institutions, for proper fund accounting purposes.
- Documents processes for all general ledger functions and other accounting functions as needed and directed by Accounting leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration. or related field.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or financial auditing and Not for profit and fund accounting experience.
- Implementation project experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.

Working Conditions
