About the Job:
Peak Energy is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Global Supply Chain Manager to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in managing our global supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient procurement of batteries and high voltage power electronics with a focus on grid scale energy storage systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, managing contract manufacturing relationships, strategic sourcing, and vendor relations, with a passion for driving operational excellence and achieving cost savings targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize the global supply chain for high voltage energy storage and power conversion systems, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Manage relationships with contract manufacturers and suppliers, spanning engagements from OEM, ODM, JDM to CM.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components to support production schedules.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on performance, quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability criteria.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings targets and ensure competitive pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns related to quality, delivery, or service levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for key suppliers, fostering collaborative partnerships to drive mutual success.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements that may impact supply chain operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience procuring materials for batteries and high voltage power electronics with a focus on grid scale energy storage systems is preferred.
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or procurement roles, preferably in a global manufacturing or technology company.
- Demonstrated experience establishing successful partnerships with contract manufacturers.
- Proven track record of successfully managing global supply chain operations, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, and inventory optimization.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience negotiating contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, procurement platforms, and analytics tools.
