What You'll Do
We have an excellent opportunity in our Human Resources Department for a Talent and Culture Specialist. The Talent and Culture Specialist will be responsible for achieving talent acquisition objectives throughout the organization. Primary duties include supporting the Human Resources Department through the development and execution of recruiting plans, networking through various outlets, and employing traditional sourcing strategies while simultaneously developing new, creative recruiting ideas. Supporting staff, managers and assisting with HR initiatives will be an integral part of this role as well. This position reports to the Senior Human Resources Manager and is located in Stoughton, MA with weekly travel to our Portsmouth, RI location.
The Day-to-Day

Partnering with hiring managers to determine hiring needs

Manage high volume recruiting for multiple departments, across different locations, including exempt and non-exempt positions

Creating job descriptions and job ads

Managing company job postings and utilizing Paylocity’s recruiting module
-
Determining applicant qualifications through interviews, response analysis, and comparing qualifications to job requirements

Conducting regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation

Researching and recommending new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting

Staying current on the company’s organization structure, policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices

Serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations and creating new contacts within the industry, attending job and career fairs

Completing timely reports on employment activity

Partnering with management to communicate human resources policies, procedures, and protocols

Serves as liaison between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and helping resolve work-related problems

Provide coaching and education to management team in dealing with employee performance issues, including corrective action and employee separations

Document and handle employee complaints; leads investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth within area of responsibility

Recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer- employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation

Plan events and activities to boost company morale

Cultivate a workplace environment that is beneficial to employee morale

Complete Special Projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
What We're Looking For
-
5 years of HR experience with full cycle recruiting experience
-
Experience with managing and prioritizing multiple searches and projects, multitasking
-
Ability to execute various recruiting strategies, including candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management

General knowledge of employment laws and practices
-
Solid ethics, morals and sound judgment
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including heavy calendar scheduling in Outlook
-
HRIS experience, (Paylocity knowledge a plus)

Ability to operate autonomously and with infrequent direction or supervision
-
Ability to create spreadsheets and presentational formats through all applications
-
Operates with the highest level of honesty and integrity

Ability to travel for recruitment meetings and career fairs and maintain a flexible schedule
