Automation Engineer

Major duties

• Higher level service support for equipment troubleshooting as the acting Automation and Integration Subject Matter Expert
• Support Engineering Team with development of US market specific equipment that apply to our current client needs
• Facilitate and train the use of existing troubleshooting tools from electrical Hardware suppliers and improve efficiencies and processes
• Drive quick problem solutions by facilitating communication with German software engineers and extend those solutions to the Field Service and Design Team
• Troubleshooting and working with Control Systems Engineers on Integrating Automation controls on a variety of client projects

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or 5 years of proven work experience in a related field
• Excellent technical skills and be able to understand operation of complex production systems.
• Proficient knowledge of electric controls as they pertain to industrial equipment
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic controls and machine design.
• Employee must be personable with excellent communication skills – written and verbal.

About this position 

• Salary Range $90,000 - $130,000 annually

• Monday - Friday flexible schedule with occasionally travel to client sites

• Direct Hire Opportunity

• Company is located in Kansas City, Missouri

• Position works mostly on-site and a lunch stipend is provided for days in office

• Must be able to pass background checks and be able to get a passport for occasional international travel
