What are the responsibilities and job description for the GIS Data Analyst position at Peak Performers?
- Clean and perform QA/QC of legacy data sets.
- Extract and mine data using various local, state and federal sources.
- Assist with data photo-interpretation efforts, including heads-up digitizing of features.
- Additional duties as assigned by the team.
- Understanding of and competent in GIS processes.
- Proficient in the use of ESRI software; ability to navigate tools in a professional environment.
- Skilled in data extraction techniques.
- Knowledgeable heads-up digitizing techniques.
- Able to evaluate new procedures for editing and correcting data.
- Experienced in the use of MS Office applications, including Outlook
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Natural Resources or Environmental Sciences with extensive GIS coursework.
- Preferred 2 years of experience doing GIS work.
- Experience and education may be substituted for one another
- Length of engagement: 3 months
- Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Location: Onsite
