ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follows predetermined operating standards (SOP) for maintenance of industrial saws and cutting tools
- Utilize measuring instruments – dial calipers, micrometers, dial indicator while able to maintain predetermined tolerances
- Maintains saw blades according to customer's or manufacturer's specifications, using hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment: Examines saw/tooling for defects.
- Ability to optimize machine utilization with attention to detail
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Good math skills
- Manual or CNC machining experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and operate precision gauging equipment
- Computer knowledge helpful
- Prior insert tooling knowledge helpful
- Self-starter who will work in a team environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Education
If no experience, will need to successfully complete on-the-job training program.
TRAINING:
Previous experience or successfully completed on-the-job training
All OSHA mandated safety training
Cross-trained in another job
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
