The Financial Analyst supports the Retail Media Network team. This role is in charge of setting accruals monthly for projected income based on our media pipeline. This person will develop all financial reports and period updates to PDL and Brand leadership teams. This role will collaborate with the sales team to develop annual targets for CPGs and Agencies to support a single proposal across all retail media channels. In addition, you will partner with and assist our Brands in developing rate card methodologies and rates for media tactics.

Recipe for Success - What's “in store” for the role  

• Sourcing, identifying, and drawing conclusions from data within the financial reports
• Supporting retail media sales team by providing pre-sales targets for each CPG and Agency partner
• Using analytical skills and knowledge of data to develop monthly financial summaries by vendor, by pod and for the total retail media organization.
• Developing dashboards, reports and insights to increase revenues based on market rates and standards
• Asking probing questions to ensure the business challenge and the analysis requirement are clearly defined
• Developing rate cards by tactic for media channels
• Working with brand partners, sales team, and account managers to ensure appropriate allocation of media income across brands and vendors.
• Partner with PDL finance to ensure P&L is accurate and reflects correct revenue versus expense line items.
• Collaborate with internal finance to guarantee annual and period budgets / forecasts are updated in accordance with accruals and projections.

The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients 

• BA/BS degree in marketing, business or related field
• Working knowledge in platforms such as Domo, Tableau, Google Studio or other BI and Visualization tools
• Expertise supporting an eCommerce business and working with large and complex data sets
• Experience with Retail Media or other Ad Technology Platforms
• Understanding of the business relationship between advertisers, agencies, publishers and retailers
• P&L management and reconciliation experience
• Experience using analytics to acquire insights and drive recommendations to improve and optimize business processes and challenges

• 4 years’ of analytics experience
• 2 years’ of financial or P&L management
