The Training Manager owns the team that crafts, maintains and provides ongoing improvements to the development of technical competency models and associate capability development for the ADUSA Commercial organization. This position supports all technical training needs coordinating internal and external resources to complete the training. Collaborates with RBS HR Learning to ensure accurate training on leadership and other trainings are incorporated in all commercial related training plans. Leads outside training support and coordinates timing and space required for classes, and will be a key innovator, pushing the ways and methods in which the organization develops associates technical capabilities including any materials and knowledge centers.

 

Recipe for Success - What's “in store” for the role

  • Lead & develop omnichannel commercial associate technical development programs, curriculums and training priorities (18-month training outlook); aligning development programs with capability needs for commercial process and system training needs.
  • Develop clear plan and program for the development of training documentations, choosing the right documentation approach and knowledge management databases for all roles.
  • Supervise the creation and maintain development handbooks, tool kits, and resource guides for all areas of the commercial organization.
  • Create and maintain relevant training programs and guides as collaboratively agreed upon by the Continuous Improvement Lead and key commercial collaborators.
  • Establish & ensure alignment and adherence to control guidelines for all associate development programs created.
  • Translate sophisticated concepts into easily understandable language & drive simplicity.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to the Associate Development team in the areas of instructional design, adult learning theory, presentation & delivery skills, technical content and training evaluation methods.
  • Responsible for motivating the team, facilitating collaboration across the team and other functions. Provides coaching to the team to accelerate their development and handle capacity. Creates an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding of team members, and demonstrates flexibility.
  • Collaborate optimally with cross functional business partners to identify true learning needs and objectives and guide them toward sustainable learner centric training solutions

The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design or Learning & Organizational Development or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and developing others, and/or designing solutions to enable learning.
  • Excellent team building, organization, and leadership skills with minimum of 3 years of team leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design methodologies.
  • Change Management Certification, Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Confirmed project management experience, adept at working under tight deadlines and leading multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills with all levels of leadership and peers.
  • Strong influencing and consulting skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical strategic thinking, negotiating skills, and a thorough understanding of available technologies that assist production throughput.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work with a variety of personalities and roles, thrives in an impactful, creative environment.

 

Extra Spices - What you should bring to the table

  • Master’s degree in education or Organizational Development
  • Proficient in Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate (content design software for online learning)
  • Blended learning experience in designing training materials and resources
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
