POSITION SUMMARY
Pearce is hiring Power Storage Field Technicians to join our team servicing and repairing HVAC, generators, electrical and performing assigned duties at new state-of-the-art renewable power storage facilities. The successful candidate will possess proficiency in multiple mechanical and power competencies. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains and services mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
- Performs skilled repair services of mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment. Specialized training is provided.
- Conducts periodic inspections to evaluate repair requests.
- Identifies parts needed for replacement and places orders as necessary.
- Conducts all work by established safety procedures.
- Maintaining commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling and power storage stack units – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
- Performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
- Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC and Batteries
- Installing and uninstalling batteries, battery modules, battery stacks
- Commissioning and decommissioning batteries
- Responding to service calls promptly, including emergency call-outs while on call.
- Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
- Overnight travel may be required
- Driving to remote work sites as needed.
- Maintain all safety standards.
- Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads materials.
- Performs some specialized tasks which may require on-the-job training.
- Effectively using heavy and light equipment, depending on the job site/assignment.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintaining battery storage containers
- General maintenance for grounds and buildings
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
- Experience and skills with HVAC and/or Generator and/or Battery Storage maintenance (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems.
- DC voltage knowledge (a plus)
- Batteries installation and service knowledge
- Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations
- Knowledge and utilization of Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) procedures
- Must be able and available for additional offsite and out of area training (company paid)
- Must have the ability to be on call and travel for work when needed is highly preferred, especially during busy summer months.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Interest in cross-training in other positions such as but not limited to Generator, HVAC, and or electrical.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical diagrams
- Willing to travel out of state for assigned projects
