What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Phlebotomist position at Pearl Medical Care Center?
Pearl has an opportunity for reliable and dedicated Mobile Phlebotomists. This is a "mobile" position that offers a limited level of freedom and flexibility that is very different from a hospital or clinical environment. Pearl's Mobile Phlebotomists travel to the facilities (ex. Senior Nursing Facilities, Rehabilitation Centers, Assisted Living Facilities, or private homes) to obtain specimens from the residents who are predominately geriatric. Pearls's Mobile Phlebotomists are responsible for:
- drawing blood from patients following venipuncture protocols
- completing pertinent paperwork such as, facility logs and requisitions
- preparing tube labels correctly and legibly according to protocol
- submitting accurate payroll time sheets and work/travel mileage logs to Supervisor at the conclusion or each pay period.
- adhering to facility rules (being punctual, dressing professional/appropriately, and following protocol regarding any issues that may arise)
- picking-up other specimens from the facilities as assigned
- transporting collected specimens timely to the laboratory
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- valid state-issued Driver License; must be at least 21 years of age
- clean driving record for last 5-years
- own reliable transportation
- required auto insurance coverage (100/300/100) in employee's name
- clean criminal history as required for positions with direct patient care
- some states require additional background check including fingerprinting
- minimum of 1-year work experience as a Phlebotomist
- SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE are always top priorioty

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
