The Role:
The Associate Programmer role directly supports the data business units of Pearl Meyer and is responsible for delivering critical, time-sensitive data and reports to internal and external clients. As part of the Pearl Meyer Product Group, the Associate Programmer will also work with other technical team members on projects providing exposure to different data products, technologies, and industries.
- Assist with custom queries, data extract, quality analysis, and report creation.
- Work directly with end users to develop and troubleshoot data solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure timelines are met.
- Define and understand data requirements, create scripts, and extract relevant data from internal databases.
- Debug SQL related issues.
- Manipulate large data sets, conduct data mapping and validations.
- Perform cyclical and time-sensitive database updates.
The Person:
The Associate Programmer will join our dynamic Product Group and have the ability to work independently and within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in directly related work.
- Expertise with SQL, stored procedures, and Excel; Microsoft Power BI, VBA and SSRS skills/experience a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly, as well as handle multiple assignments/projects concurrently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of people.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
