ROLE SUMMARY
Working remotely as a Manager, Tools and Automation Support, you will report to the Director of Digital Strategy within our Higher Education business. The Higher Education Services and Strategy organization is aligned to support customers with customer service and technical support, enhancing the value of Pearson digital courseware solutions, such as MyLab, Mastering, and Revel.
The primary purpose of the Manager, Tools and Automation Support is to serve as a subject matter expert on a variety of technologies, being a go to resource to support tool adoption and identify areas of optimization/automation. The Manager, Tools and Automation Support, will support multiple teams and acts in a shared services capacity between services, technology, and in collaboration with stakeholders of projects or initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive adoption of tools utilized by various business stakeholders, ensure tool optimization, and define appropriate tool use and support.
- Serve as a subject matter in core technologies utilized in the business, including Salesforce, UiPath, Service Cloud Voice, Zingtree, and other technology applications.
- Support change management practices related to the operations policy and procedure program.
- Identify gaps and single points of failure in current technology process or design, creating an action plan to remedy the identified outliers.
- Communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with leadership within technology and business.
- Build and create internal communications on procedure or operational updates.
- Serve as a technical advisor to support our transformation toward a smarter, digital first customer experience.
- Facilitate and own the delivery of the services roadmap supporting customer improvements for each automation tool with a goal of advancing Pearson's support capabilities.
- Lead automation and operational excellence through a variety of activities, aligning with a strategic roadmap.
- Drive identification and development of automation for repetitive tasks or redundant activities.
- Demonstrated ability to translate high level conceptual information and ideas through execution in a manner that is thorough and thoughtful to the intended audience.
- Interact and proactively communicate with varying levels of department and operations leadership to ascertain areas of need or improvement.
- Extrapolate relevant data as needed from various sources to create awareness for policy updates/changes/confirmation.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year degree from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience.
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce, Salesforce products/services.
- Knowledge of agile project management concepts, tools, and activities.
- Higher Education and/or Pearson operations knowledge preferred.
- Formal writing or technical procedure writing experience strongly preferred
- Self-driven and an ability to thrive in a do-it-yourself fast-paced environment and adapt to ongoing changes with ease and comfort.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective analytical thinking skills include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, or relationships.
- Experience in working effectively with diverse internal and external contacts.
- Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with a limited degree of supervision.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.

The anticipated starting salary for Colorado and New York City based individuals expressing interest in this position is $90,000 annually. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
