Manager, Content and Data Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Manager of Content and Data Management to oversee the integration of content management and data quality assurance processes within our Pearson School Assessments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of item banking software, and a passion for advocating data-driven decision-making. This role's main responsibilities include supporting content teams utilizing item banking software, advocating for enhancements to the item banking roadmap, and ensuring data quality for downstream system use.

Responsibilities:

Support for Content Development and Production Teams:

  • Collaborate with content teams to understand their needs and challenges in utilizing item banking software effectively.
  • Provide training, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance to content teams to optimize their use of item banking software.
  • Serve as a liaison between content teams and technical support resources to address any software-related issues.

Advocate for Influencing Item Banking Roadmap:

  • Act as a voice for content development and production teams within the organization, advocating for enhancements and improvements to the item banking software based on user feedback and evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to prioritize feature requests and influence the item banking roadmap accordingly.

Data Quality Assurance for Content Data:

  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices for content data stored within item banking software.
  • Develop and implement processes for data validation, cleansing, and normalization to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to integrate data quality checks into downstream systems and processes.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams, including content creators, software developers, content production, and project managers.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to align priorities, provide updates, and address concerns related to content and data management initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in content development or production management, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in item banking software and content management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data quality assurance practices and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmaps and drive organizational change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $95,000 - $105,000.
