Position Summary :
The Payroll Administrator is part of a team that is responsible for payroll processing for customers located across the country. This role supports internal customers with payroll questions and is responsible for ensuring the semi-monthly payroll cycle deadlines are met.Performs a variety of duties involving payroll processing including receiving, reviewing, entering, auditing and payroll data; and ensures adherence to established payroll policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. We require that employees have the appropriate means to work remotely, including adherence to our work-at-home policies regarding home office setup.
Responsibilities may include :
- Performs payroll-related functions including but not limited to semi-monthly payroll processing, auditing, and maintenance
- Performs payroll tax-related activities to ensure the accurate and timely administration of all federal, state, and local withholdings, remittances, reconciliations, and reporting
- Process position changes and leave of absence payments
- Conducts timesheet audit reviews
- Processes payroll requests, W-4 changes, address changes
- Create tax locations and work with tax agencies to register local tax codes
- Resolve employee concerns regarding payroll questions and issues
- Oversee special projects and pay programs
- Assist with various research projects and/or special projects
- Assist Finance and Compliance departments with school audits

- 2 nd monitor (highly preferred)

Requirements :
- Two or more years of payroll processing experience
- Excellent software skills, especially with Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Superior problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both with and without supervision
- Highly detail-oriented and analytical
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $23 - $25
