What are the responsibilities and job description for the Producer position at Pearson?
The Content Producer is the key owner and liaison though all functional areas of project management, and engages on projects though content planning, content creation, Author/Subject Matter Expert (SME) management/relations, budgeting, production, rights & permissions, customer acceptance and archive. The Content Producer executes on deliver of all assigned program components and project tasks of the entire program lifecycle (initiate, plan, build, execute, control, release). The Digital Content Producer is accountable to deliver high quality, commercially successful digital programs on time and within budget.
The Candidate: You are a digital project manager and producer capable of working effectively under multiple simultaneous deadlines with a variety of team members and vendors. You are comfortable determining and communicating risks during production. You are an agile problem solver, ready to propose solutions to any issues uncovered. You are flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude when operating in an environment of continual flux.
As a core member of the Science Production Team, you will be expected to work autonomously and deliver on project phases on time and on budget. We will help you achieve your goals by continuous professional development and regular progression sessions. You will work with global teams and thus may occasionally work off to accommodate other time zones.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $65,000 - $70,000.

Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Oversee development of learning products (eTexts and printed books, supplements, videos/interactives, assessment content, online courses) for the Higher Education Science markets, in coordination with your Production and Commercial Product Management team.
- Scope, budget, and manage resources on projects from concept to launch with responsibility for schedule, budget, risk and quality management.
- Guide vendor/SME decisions, create Requests for Proposals (RFP), solicit bids from vendors, and write Purchase Orders/Contracts for vendors/SMEs.
- Hire and Manage cross-functional teams, including vendors, content-providers, freelancers, project management vendors, and Quality Assurance vendors.
- Ensure products adhere to project plans and meet Pearson standards and requirements for efficacy and accessibility.

- Strong time management abilities - organizing tasks in a logical and efficient manner allowing for multi-tasking and making appropriate calls on prioritization
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and SmartSheets.
