What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Marketing Analyst position at Pearson?
The Pearson IT Professional Group (ITP) is the leading publisher of learning products for IT professionals. We produce books, ebooks, training videos, practice tests, simulators, digital courseware, and live online training. We sell our products through a variety of channels throughout the world, including traditional book retailers and wholesalers, college adoptions, High School CTE programs, O’Reilly Online Learning, and direct to consumers through our six B2C websites.
This position develops and implements the marketing strategy for our products in the areas of Computer Graphics and Business, including our Adobe Press relationship and our rapidly growing program of material on Business Analytics. This person works closely with our editors to plan out the overall publishing strategy and consult on specific projects.
This person manages two of our B2C websites, Peachpit.com and AdobePress.com, planning and executing promotions for our direct customers, including direct mail, SEO, and paid search.
In addition, this position
- Leads the marketing for our co-publishing arrangement with uCertify, our group’s leading courseware for the higher education market. This involves demoing the platform to prospective adopters, leading onboarding meetings once it is adopted, interfacing with our counterparts at uCertify, troubleshooting questions from instructors, and generally handling any issues which may arise
- Manages our affiliate program for our websites
- Takes the lead on paid search, mostly Google
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Creating regular promotional campaigns to our registered users
- Working with higher ed reps to promote our products to their channel
- Cooperating with other members of the ITP marketing team
- Working with international Pearson offices
- Cooperating closely with authors and their organizations on marketing of their works
Qualifications
This position requires at least three years of experience in the marketing of educational materials. To be successful, you need to be able to juggle multiple demands on your time, and prioritize those demands in order to hit our revenue goals. You must be able to work cooperatively with many different people across ITP and across Pearson, as well as with outside partners, but you must also be able to independently plan and manage your time and activities. Familiarity with current online and direct email marketing and sales techniques is required.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $67,500 - 72,000 per year.
