What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Manager position at Pearson?
We are looking for a Solutions Manager to join our team to drive innovative solutions to our clients and, often, the product team. The Solutions Manager will be responsible for internal delivery teams. The Solutions Manager must be able to articulate technology and product development to both internal and external users. The Solutions Manager is a bridge between the customer and the product teams. This position will lead the review and analysis of Requests for Proposals. The ideal candidate will have excellent reading comprehension skills, the ability to quickly and accurately analyze complex information, and strong attention to detail. Ultimately, you will work with the organization’s leaders to identify areas of improvement or overall new technology solutions.
As a Solutions Manager, you’ll oversee the solutions for a portfolio consisting of multiple customers. Knowledge of our wide range of technology and services will ensure we provide innovative and effective solutions that meet our customer’s needs and exceed their expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage solution design for School Assessments for current and prospective statewide assessments.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
- Read and analyze RFPs/RFIs from potential clients to understand their requirements, needs, and expectations.
- Lead discussions with Product Managers to define how various solutions will be utilized to offer the most effective and efficient solution for our customers
- Perform market research and gap analysis to allow development teams to prioritize their roadmaps in alignment with the business development strategy
- Identify opportunities that will increase value and improve the assessment experience for students, parents, and educators!
- Provide technical training where applicable with customers
- Collaborate with the proposal team to ensure that the final proposal is of high quality and meets the client's needs.
Requirements:
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and delivery team members.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and concepts.
- Ability to work independently.
- Quickly learn new processes and tools, business domains and technical applications
- Must be able to provide solution alternatives and recommendations
- Flexibility in the workplace.
- High sense of urgency and attention to detail required.
- May require travel.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree desired or commensurate experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in a Project Management role.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $90k - $105k.
