What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Curriculum Project Management position at Pearson?
The Supervisor of Curriculum Project Management oversees a suite of Curriculum Development Project Managers, working closely with the project stakeholders (including Product Managers, Business Owners, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters), external Strategic Development Partners, and other project team members to ensure successful project delivery meeting all business needs, project requirements and deadlines. The Project Management Supervisor serves as the lead for up to five (5) project managers on Curriculum Project Management team by providing guidance and coaching to a subset of the Curriculum PM team.
The Curriculum Project Management Supervisor will supervise and coach up to five (5) project managers on the Curriculum Project Management team responsible for:
- Drive project leadership to define the high-level strategy, establish deliverables, and set achievable goals for each stage of the project.
- Develop, maintain, and publish project KPIs that track project quality, delivery and predictability.
- Create and maintain all project tracking tools:
- Project schedule
- Status reports
- Risk Register, Change Log, and other trackers.
- Analyze project risks and develop and document mitigation plan with project team.
- Establish project communication plan with team and key stakeholders and ensure proper execution of said plans.
- Ensure coordination of efforts of all cross-functional team members in consultation with Project sponsor/project stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain a highly cooperative environment and foster collaboration across all areas.
- Submit project deliverables and ensure that they adhere to quality standards.
- Conduct post-project closure and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to improve and promote success on future projects.
