Territory Manager CTE

This position is designed to increase the CTE and ELL footprint in new and existing accounts. The Territory Manager is responsible for managing sales for a variety of instructional materials, programs, and services to public schools and districts within a designated territory. This Territory Manager will be responsible for finding new clients and driving our solutions into their curriculum decisions. This position will work hand in hand with the K12 team to promote our solutions throughout the country. The Territory Manager will responsible for gaining an understanding of the products and solutions in the CTE and ELL space. This individual will create and execute a business plan to increase sales to meet growth expectations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 100% Territory Sales:
  • Manage existing clients and find new business for a specific geographic region.
  • Meeting and surpassing sales goals, with the ability to develop and build relationships to grow the business.
  • Delivering successful presentations to promote our products and services.
  • Overcome objections and resolve concerns.
  • Attend local events and tradeshows to support territory growth.
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly and end of year.
  • Work with the Onboarding and Support teams to improve customer satisfaction.

Position will travel 20% to 30%

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Must have a proven track record of making their number
  • Must have impressive presentation skills
  • Must be detail driven and organized
  • Capable of managing multiple clients

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or education preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years sales experience preferred.
  • Sales or sales support experience in the education or learning products market a plus
  • Understanding of the use of technology in education.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Performance driven and results oriented
  • Work well under heavy sales pressure
  • Enjoys working with others
  • Excellent oral, written, time management and presentation skills
  • Microsoft Office, Communications Skills for Business or Entrepreneurship for Small Business Certification preferred
  • Experience with CRM database

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

Minimum full-time salary range is between $55,000 - $120,000.
