About the role
If you are a driven, dedicated problem solver and relationship builder passionate about providing solutions to public, parochial, juvenile justice agencies and charter school districts and their students for career and college readiness, we want to meet you! As a key member of Pearson's sales team, your focus will be College and Career Readiness Learning Solutions for an assigned territory, prospecting, demonstrating products, closing sales, and resolving issues.
Partnering with an Executive Account Manager, you will coordinate opportunities in large school districts. Your role demands significant product knowledge, influencing skills, and strategic thinking. You'll leverage tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom, using your creativity and education to provide immediate responses to customers' needs.
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $65,000 - $105,000.

Your key responsibilities
- Identify and close district sales opportunities to meet quarterly and annual revenue goals, and forward new opportunities when necessary.
- Align sales strategies with organizational goals, offering tailored solutions to meet prospect and customer needs.
- Develop deep product knowledge to answer complex customer questions and provide effective solutions.
- Manage leads within an assigned territory, identifying the most effective solutions for each prospect.
- Renew and grow existing business while actively prospecting for new opportunities.
- Utilize organizational tools, data, and marketing resources to optimize sales results.
- Handle end-to-end sales responsibilities, including prospecting, proposals, relationship management, and closing sales.
- Maintain comprehensive product knowledge and provide expert insights, participating in RFP/RFQ efforts as assigned.

- Achieve or exceed sales targets and ensure high customer retention through responsive service and effective partnerships.
- Negotiate win-win deals that solve customer problems and drive profitable transactions for Pearson.

About you
- Thrive in sales with 1 years of direct experience or 5 years as a passionate educator, driving impressive results.
- Bachelor's degree essential; educational background and tech sales experience are exciting bonuses.
- Master time management, problem-solving, and organizational prowess to tackle challenges head-on.
- Shine with exceptional communication, stellar customer service, and powerful relationship-building skills.
- Embrace the fast-paced environment, learning swiftly, multitasking, prioritizing, and driving towards goals independently.
- Leverage deep knowledge of consultative selling, educational needs, and funding dynamics.
- Excel in MS Office; CRM expertise is a plus.
