Retail Accounts Payable Clerk (Full Time)

Job Summary:

The Retail Accounts Payable Clerk is an integral part of the Finance department in Retail. This position will require a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, strong communication skills both internal and external, and the ability to multitask and practice effective time management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review invoices and match invoices corresponding purchase orders & process accordingly.
• Verify GL codes for invoices and payment requests for accuracy and make correction if necessary.
• Audit payment requests for accuracy and payment terms.
• Account/Statement Reconciliation – request any delinquent invoices on statements.
• Assist both internal and external inquiries regarding invoices and/or accounts.
• Research discrepancies, administer appropriate resolution and bring accounts to current status.
• Assist with the department’s involvement in the AT&T Pro-Am and Concours d’Elegance, and other company

hosted Special Events.

• Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

• 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• Perform basic bookkeeping.
• Strong computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, and external customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and effectively complete deadlines.

Desired Skills:

• Electronic Accounts Payable System experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with some college level accounting preferred.
• Great Plains System experience preferred.
• Retail Inventory Management System experience preferred.
