Overnight Veterinary Technician

Seeking an experienced overnight veterinary technician for our busy state-of-the-art hospital.

At Pebble Maryland Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves on working to make sure each and every patient is given the highest level of care while providing a positive and supportive work environment where personal growth and development are priorities.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, self-motivated, attentive to detail and well-organized. Being able to work as a team member and independently, handle stressful situations with poise and ability to demonstrate a can-do attitude is a must.

Regular Duties

  • Displays competency in the general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for critically ill patients
  • Can effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers, supervisors, DVMs, clients
  • Blood draws
  • Placing IV catheters
  • Properly preparing laboratory samples
  • Administering medications as directed by veterinarian
  • Taking patient vitals
  • Filling medications
  • Is able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time; can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds
  • Other duties as assigned

Ideally we are seeking technicians with a minimum of 2-3 years of current experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Overtime

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Veterinary experience: 1 year (Required)

Work Location: In person
