Cold In Place Recycler Operator (Req #: 500) - Now Hiring

Job Summary:

The Cold In Place Recycler Operator will be responsible for daily recycling operations, reporting, and material quantities. This individual must have good analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to transition seamlessly from one task to another.

Essential Functions:

1. Protect family and friends. Operate equipment safely and efficiently while wearing proper PPE. Be part of a Safety Culture that fosters openness, innovation, idea sharing, and actions to improve while maintaining a thorough knowledge of, and commitment to, industry best practices and leading safety programs.
2. Efficiency. Perform routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment, changes to drum, teeth, and conveyor on the recycler, and assist with the mobilization of the RX900 Recycler between job sites in order to achieve production targets.
3. Communication. Communicate effectively with crewmembers to achieve optimal applications of PG-Binder and gradations. Assist with material deliveries from the plant and help coordinate paving operations.

Requirements, Education and Experience:

1. 3 years construction experience and mechanical skills, preferred
2. Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in highway and road construction, asphalt paving and asphalt plant operations. Must be able to plan, allocate resources, and achieve production targets.
3. Knowledge of construction operations and specifications specifically proficiency with milling operations and knowledge of how to mill to depth as well as cross slope. Must have knowledge and ability to run automation on machinery.
4. Proficient verbal and written English
5. Legal right to work in the U.S.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This position works outdoors in hot, humid and/or inclement weather. Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 lb. or more. This position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
