What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Infusion Nurse position at Pediatric Home Service?

- Position: Infusion Nurse
- Location: Roseville, MN
- Hours: The hours are full-time (8a-5p) with some flexibility in scheduling. On-call duties and some evening/weekend hours are required (only about 5 weekends per year).
- Requirements: The qualified candidate will have a RN License in good standing (and willingness to obtain Wisconsin licensure), BLS or CPR certification, and a minimum of 2 - 3 years of nursing experience. Pediatric, infusion and venipuncture experience is preferred.
JOB DETAILS: To provide assessment and care of patients receiving home IV therapy. Provides training and education needed for patients, families and caregivers to safely deliver IV therapy to the home. Provides skilled nursing care to any approved patients under the Home Health Agency (HHA).
- Assesses patient/family and plans for appropriate care
- Communicates appropriate patient information with other members of the health care team
- Develops, implements and maintains nursing care plans
- Demonstrates competency in identified areas
- Adheres to PHS policies and procedures and standards set up by other appropriate regulatory groups
- Provides assessment/care of patients receiving home IV therapy
- Provides training/education for patients, families or caregiver to safely deliver home IV therapy
- Documents pertinent information on the patient’s record
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse
- BLS – Basic Life Support or CPR
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two to three years of previous nursing experience; at least one year of experience with pediatrics, infusion, and venipuncture is preferred. Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication skills. A high level of initiative combined with excellent customer service, as well as a strong team-focused mentality and ability to work independently.
