Financial Service Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Financial Services Coordinator to join our team of highly qualified professionals that share our vision of Empowering Children to Conquer their World! This role is responsible for obtaining the families accurate benefits for the services that we provide and to also help families understand the financial cost of therapy services.

• Hours: 7:30-4:30 or 8:00-5:00

What you will do:

• Verify insurance benefits online and over the phone
• Build cost estimates for evaluations and treatment
• Input patient data into a computer system
• Speak with families about the cost of treatment
• Obtain financial documents from families
• Communicate with families when changes in funding occur
• Maintain multiple excel spreadsheets
• Monitor weekly and monthly reports
• Utilize effective communication to address process concerns
• Upholds and incorporates the core values, vision, mission and philosophy of Pediatrics Plus into all job responsibilities.
• May perform other related and non-related duties, as assigned.

Education/ Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Skills/ Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills which includes a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
• Must be persistent in getting the correct benefits from insurance companies.
• Ability to problem solve and think about how changes in funding could affect our clients financially.
• Ability to recognize patterns in coverage and benefits from insurance companies.
• Desire to be on the phone the majority of the time.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• A desire to serve families and go the extra mile.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, lift, feel, and reach. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
