Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Shipping Coordinator is to manage and oversee the logistics involved in the distribution and return of the at-home sleep study equipment. This role ensures that patients receive the necessary devices on time, understand how to use them correctly, and can easily return them post-study. The coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the sleep study program, facilitating smooth operations from order processing to equipment tracking, and contributing to the overall patient experience and satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate the timely preparation and shipment of sleep study equipment to patients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of sleep study devices and accessories to prevent shortages and overstock.
- Patient Communication: Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding the use of sleep study equipment, and address any questions or concerns.
- Logistics Coordination: Work with shipping carriers to arrange efficient and cost-effective delivery and return of equipment, ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Tracking and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of shipments, returns, and equipment status to facilitate smooth operations and accurate reporting.
- Quality Control: Inspect returned equipment for functionality and cleanliness, and arrange for necessary maintenance or replacements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve shipping processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient experience.

Requirements
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or inventory management role is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using shipping software and logistics management tools. Familiarity with inventory management systems and practices. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding equipment use and return processes.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
