SUMMARY

 

Under minimal supervision, is responsible for developing and supporting the Company’s global e-Commerce systems.  Overall e-commerce program administration at the global level, formulates procedures to ensure process changes are tracked and training needs for customers are met.  Performs analysis, design, testing, documentation, implementation in support of e-commerce applications. Establishes new trading partner relationships, implements business transaction exchange methodologies, develops and supports the Company web storefront, and, assists with integrating e-commerce applications into SAP.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Develops e-commerce relationships with global customers and vendors to improve internal efficiencies and business effectiveness using various technologies such as EDI, B2B and OCR.
  2. Responsible for overall EDI program administration at the global level, including analysis, working with VAN on data mapping, and developers for ERP system changes.
  3. Implements new business transaction maps, and revises existing business transaction maps exchanged with customers and suppliers via industry standards and conventions.
  4. Responsible for all web store administration (catalog maintenance, user maintenance, etc).
  5. Responsible for OCR order administration and coordination of any system changes.
  6. Manages all e-commerce projects globally and monitors, troubleshoots, and corrects e-commerce production jobs.
  7. Assists in consulting with internal and external customers, suppliers and third-party companies to establish business practices, processes, and workflows.
  8. Researches new technologies.
  9. Provide basic administration/support for Pelican’s CRM system.
  10. Assists with system conversion, system upgrade, and data migration processes of all e-commerce systems.
  11. Trains both internal and external users on application systems.
  12. Documents e-commerce process flows, production job streams, control mechanisms, and systems, including formulating procedures and other materials necessary to ensure process changes are tracked and training needs for customers are met.
  13. May work on special projects both within and outside of the IT department to positively impact overall business performance and success.
  14. Monitors and reports E-commerce KPIs.  Analyze results for EDI & B2B additional customer automation.
  15. Actively supports Pelican’s commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
  16. Performs additional duties as assigned.

     

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred and/or a minimum of two years experience in an office/sales environment with heavy customer interaction required.
  2. 3 plus years experience and general knowledge of EDI systems and various e-commerce capabilities with ability to analyze needs and resolve issues.
  3. Strong vendor management skills required.
  4. Experience in Project Management.
  5. Experience with SAP or an ERP system a plus.
  6. Experience with CRM a plus.
  7. Strong analytical skills with ability to make recommendations to system changes.
  8. Must be a highly motivated team player able to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision and within time frames specified by IT Management.
  9. Must have excellent analysis, written, verbal, communication and presentation skills.
  10. Must be detail-oriented with excellent customer service, organizational and follow-up skills.
  11. Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  12. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  13. Must be proficient with Word, Excel and Power Point and quick to learn new applications.
  14. Must be flexible with work schedules, and be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
