RN Manager

Pelican Valley Senior Living seeks an RN Manager to join our assisted living, Riverfront Manor. The hours are 8am-4:30pm, full time at 4 days per week. Pelican Valley Senior Living is a three building senior living community in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. We have a 33 bed care center, and two distinct assisted living communities that provide enhanced assisted living services and memory care assisted living. Scope:

• Assist with developing and supervising clinical staff and services in accordance with Pelican Valley’s policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and best practice requirements to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.
• Performs assessments of residents and provides direction on the plan of care and services, as needed.
• Works closely with residents, families and with various members of other departments such as nursing, activities, dietary, Executive Director, residents and families, and the medical community.
• Assist with triaging of daily clinical questions, calls and tasks in collaboration with the RNs. Assist with rounding physicians and internal referral processes and collaboration.
• Must have flexibility in schedule to fulfill an on-call rotation and be available for on-call medical questions and/or emergencies via phone.
• Assure that the highest degree of quality care, customer service, fiscal responsibility, and regulatory compliance is maintained at all times.

Education and Experience:

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
• Must obtain CPR certification within 6 months from date of hire.
• Must complete and pass a state required background study.
• Must have strong assessment skills, good organizational skills, and strong problem-solving skills.
• This position requires an ability to work effectively with co-workers as a team and individually.
• Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
• Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.
