An Inventory Specialist, or Inventory Control Specialist, oversees the ordering, storing, receiving and distributing processes of an organization’s products and supplies. Their main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation
WHO WE ARE -
We are a manufacturing facility that produces replacement freezer/cooler doors for large walk-in cooler/freezer boxes in grocery stores. Not only do we manufacture these doors but we have our own crews install the doors in the grocery stores...we travel from Florida to Maine. Some of our customers include Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Food Lion, Pilot Flying J, just to name a few.
SOME OF THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE - (but not limited to) -
- Oversee inventory and order additional products and supplies when needed
- Assume ownership of all shop inventory counts
- Ensure adequate inventory levels to minimize outages
- Through the use of company provided tools, the Inventory Specialist will document vehicle condition and maintenance within company standards which includes a complete inventory of all materials on company trailers and vehicles
- Visually recognize inventory opportunities and react accordingly
- Responsible for the inventory in all vehicles at the facility within company
- Load and unload trailers with all necessary materials before and after jobs
- Monitor, maintain and organize the receiving area and storage area
- Ability to train other members of the staff to keep inventory accurate
SKILL SET NEEDED- but not limited to -
- Excellent time management skills
- Proven work experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to succeed
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and investigate inaccurate inventory counts
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
- Strong work ethic
