The primary role of our Home Care CNA is to protect, sustain, and nurture residents by providing assistance with activities of daily living and meeting other nurturing direct care needs.

CNAs in the Home Care environment are an essential member of our direct care team responsible for engaging collaboratively through all aspects of the team's work.

Job Duties :
Help with prescribed exercises that the client and in-home aides have been taught by a health care practitioner.
Perform or assist with ADLs that are essential to the client's care at home and record and report changes in the client's condition.
Promotes a desirable work environment / attitude among fellow staff members.
Conveys respect for staff and maintains a positive attitude at all times.
Displays a degree of flexibility in work assignments.
Maintains a flexible schedule to meet the organizations work requirements.
Attends mandatory in-service training.
Accepts client assignments and displays flexibility with schedule.
ReviewsthescheduleweeklyandacceptsPRNassignmentsordutiesasdirectedby RN
Follow the client's plan of care / aide assignment sheet.
Performs / provides care or tasks specific to client needs as ordered on assignment sheet each visit.
Demonstrates safe aide skills and competence.
Report to the RN Supervisor and / or the Agency Director (in RN's absence) if you are unable to perform a skill or competence.
Notifies RN Supervisor immediately as needed with any client problems or change in
Documents according to established agency procedure.
Documents daily the tasks performed, care provided, and any communication concerning
Utilizes time in the Home Care Scheduling Portal.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Follows all standards for universal precautions, infection control and agency policies when reporting to
Maintains an accurate accounting of supplies.
Follows agency procedure regarding accountability for client and agency supplies.
Qualifications
- Required to have completed a CNA course and satisfactorily completed a competency assessment, approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Listed on the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry in good standing.
- Must provide proof of current CPR Certification.
- Experience in long term and Home Care preferred.
