Essential Functions-Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following
- Answer and respond appropriately to incoming public assistance and emergency calls from the general public or private alarm companies
- Determining calmly and effectively all critical information for processing a call including the nature of the call
- Determining what resources are needed to respond to an incident and transferring callers to the appropriate dispatching agency as necessary
- Interfacing with computer systems to input data and obtain additional information for various agencies as required
- Establishes call priorities based on the nature of the incoming calls
- Maintain status of currently dispatched resources
- Maintain accurate records of recording devices and computer operations as required
- Secures additional resources as needed.
- Read, interpret, and stay up to date on current procedures
- Utilize appropriate equipment necessary to perform job duties such as radios, computers, and TDD equipment.
- Learn and follow established procedures
- Use appropriate judgment when responding to incidents including emergency situations
- Learn to operate a communications equipment
- Prepare and maintain accurate written records
- Follow oral and written instructions or protocols
Minimum Qualifications
- One-year of previous experience in communications/dispatch positions
- Previous communications experience may be substituted for previous experience in a high-volume call center
- High School Diploma, GED, or HISET required
- Eligible for and maintain current MULES certification
- Ability to deal with people in high stress situations
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Maintain minimum hearing standards
- Character and Professional reference checks to include previous 10 years of work history

- Multiple rounds of interviews
- Ability to operate, maneuver, and/or steer equipment and machinery requiring simple but continuous adjustments
- Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing skilled movements requiring accuracy
- Mild-Moderate physical work
- Ability to be seated for extended periods of time
- Ability to sustain long visual concentration
- Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule
- 48 Hour One Week
- 36 Hours One Week
- Off Every Other weekend
- $18.00 Per Hour Starting
- 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, scheduled will be determined based on employers needs
