WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Leads Management Review meetings with input and participation from plant leadership and other departments.
- Ensures AIAG guidelines are followed within PPAP submissions and maintained throughout the life of the product.
- Coordinates external audits, whether customer audits or external IATF audits.
- Maintains Quality metrics/KPIs, such as COPQ, Material Usage Variance (MUV) and Customer Complaints.
- Works closely with Customer Service, Applications Engineering and internal and external sales representatives to understand customer needs and requirements when launching new part numbers through APQP process.
- Maintains APQP processes and workflows within Danboro EQMS
- Ensures quality product is produced and encourages quality before quantity in all aspects of the job.
- Support the Quality System Supervisor on Internal and Supplier audits, as needed.
- Assists the team Quality representative in the development and maintenance of Control Plans.
- Use and promotion of statistical tools (i.e.: SPC, CP/CPK, Gage R&R, etc.) to drive improvement while maximizing return on investment.
- Works with the quality & departmental management representative to answer all corrective actions both internal and external using proven problem-solving techniques including the following at a minimum:
- Fishbone diagrams
- Cause and effect diagrams
- 3-legged 5 Why
- 8D
- Plan-do-Check-Act cycle
- Is an active member of the team doing process FMEA's as needed and uses risk-based thinking to reduce quality exposures.
- Represent the plant with customers on quality matters and audits.
- Set up and maintain all quality related training within the plant. Ensure that all new personnel are adequately trained to an appropriate level so that they can help foster the quality levels established.
- Creates and revises various procedures, work instructions and guidelines in order to document the quality system.
- Performs performance reviews with direct reports.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and development of team members.
- Collaborates with Global Vice President of Quality within the corporate structure.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a mechanical science such as Mechanical Engineering/Technology, Industrial Engineering/Technology, Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Quality Engineering.
- 10 years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Read and interpretation of customer and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience work with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers.
- Experience with heat treat and finishing specifications.
- A working knowledge and experience with the following:
- IATF 16949 and ISO 9000 Quality Certifications
- Process/Machine Capability Studies
- Statistical Process Control and control charts
- Gage Calibration Procedures and Techniques
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly and concisely with customers, subordinates, peers, and corporate officers.
- Self-Starter, well organized in thought and paperwork.
- Strong communication skills and able to interact with operators, supervision, management and customers.
