Description
1. Assists in the assembly of the conveyor belt for each meal, placing food on trays
as directed by the Food Service Supervisors.
2. Delivers loaded carts to the floors, according to designated schedules, and
passes the trays to each patient, retrieving same at appropriate time. Such work
may also include the delivery of coffee and other nourishments at varying times
during the work period, according to the patients requirements insuring that each
patient receives the right tray, or special nourishment order.
3. Performs a wide variety of cleaning duties, such as scraping and washing dishes
and other dietary items, delivering cleaned items to proper kitchen units, cleaning
of trays and diet carts, and assisting in cleaning duties as posted.
4. Secures diet list and changes from nursing stations before each meal; verifies
proper diet for each patient according to the diet list and notifies Dietary
Supervisor of any discrepancies.
5. Secures daily-completed menus from patients. Marks and tabulates all
appropriate count sheets.
6. Responsible for the proper handling of all glassware to prevent breakage.
7. Performs relief work in the dining area, or other related areas, as directed. Work
as a relief in the preparation of salads and desserts.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent
Up to and including three (3) months experience
