NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION DRIVER
DUTIES OF POSITION
Provides caring and responsible wheelchair, ambulatory and/or stretcher transportation for patients to and from their medical appointments using a company non-emergency medical transportation vehicle.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Transport passengers, assisting them door-to-door, loading/unloading passengers and belongings.
Follow schedule, maps, etc. and report regularly to dispatch.
Maintain vehicle, clean interior and exterior, arrange service maintenance.
Complete documents and maintenance records clearly and accurately.
Show up to work in a timely manner
Assist clients as they get into and out of the vehicle.
Report traffic delays en route back to supervisor.
Operate wheelchair lift as needed
Adhere to company policies and protocol
Participate in training and educational opportunities
JOB CONDITIONS
The ability to drive and the ability to access patients’ homes which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible are required.
Hearing, eyesight and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform duties.
On occasion, may be required to bend, stoop, reach and move patient weight up to 250 pounds; lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
One must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 21 years of age with a minimum of 2 year of uninterrupted driving experience
Possess and understand how to use apps on a smart phone.
Must pass a Federal criminal background check.
Must have current CPR, first aid, and restraints training certification.
Clean driving record with no pints
Pass initial drug and alcohol testing, be willing/able to submit to random drug and alcohol testing
Can read maps and GPS
Must have great work history with a track record of being a responsible individual (must provide references from previous employer(s)
