Financial Analyst
CPUP - Medicine Finance
3400 Spruce Street
Summary:
- The Financial Analyst is responsible for processing AP and purchasing requests, CER creation and reconciliation of capital balances and month end close entry preparation with review. The Financial Analyst has a great understanding of the Capital and Operating budgets as it relates to coding.
- The Financial Analyst mainly communicates with managers and vendors for purchasing.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of month end closing entries and review of entries prepared by Corp Finance
- Ability to provide analysis and Reclass entries for closing
- Creation of Capital Expenditure Requests
- Ability to cover other financial analyst and coordinator workload in their absence
- Processing of RTP's for capital and routine purchasing
- Assisting in building the personnel schedule for the budget cycle
- Processing of invoices
- Tracking of equipment refresh statistics
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2 years experience in accounting/finance field required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Must be attentive to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Able to deliver clear and concise presentations to varied audiences.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management.
- Knowledge of monthly financial statement closing processes including variance and flux analyses.
