Description
This position is dually responsible as an individual contributor and for the management of the mobile field leadership and technician team for the Western service area. This role includes management of the Company’s Mobile field operations process. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with HR and talent acquisition on matters as needed.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and develop a strategically focused team that works effectively, collaboratively, and creatively with individuals and teams throughout the Company
· Oversee accurate and well-organized documentation through leadership direction to Mobile technician managers of all necessary paperwork from our field technician staff.
· Collaborate with Mobile technician managers and billing team on tasks such as work orders that migrate from field to billing team that cannot be processed due to error in submission.
· Work in conjunction with the VP Mobile Fleet West to drive and influence faster, streamlined mobile operational practices.
· Create and manage department Key Performance Indicators and metrics that will influence team in positive manner.
· Cultivate a strong knowledge of the Company, industry, and all current and future mobile work adds in field environment.
· Coordinate with business leaders, Operations and Customers to identify current and future operational needs.
· Aid Mobile technician managers in quarterly assessments of field-based personnel for performance evaluations.
· Project work - developing training material for new field based operational practices as needed for Western Team.
· Project work – Help to stand up, maintain a streamlined approach to field-based work order submission and flow through designed processes that will help ensure consistent practices.
· Reinforce through positive coaching the reasoning as to why a change in process submissions for work orders are needing and help field personnel to understand the why behind the change of process.
· Develop, implement and measure new strategies and programs to help expedite customer repair service timing.
· Participate in the quarterly Audits of service trucks with Mobile tech managers for safety and audit inventories.
· Work closely with Sales organization to stand up new opportunities and assign through mobile tech managers proper personnel to service said customer.
· Develop and maintain a close working relationship with Billing team to ensure customer disputes are routed and dispatched accordingly to the need.
· Assemble (One team focused) mobile operations teams that support our field environment to its fullest potential.
· Participate in regional senior leadership meetings as needed.
· Establish weekly mobile safety call covering the daily/weekly/monthly talking points for the mobile environment including safety, operational topics, truck maintenance and other tasks as suited.

Requirements
Education: High School diploma or equivalent, Preferred, senior level mechanical background with 10 year’s experience in the mechanical field. 5 or more years in a leadership aspect.
Experience:
· Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
· ASE Master tech
· OE certifications in the class 8 sector
· Trailer repair experience.
· Estimate creation and submission experience.
