What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creamery Stock Assistant position at Penn State University?
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Fill requisition invoices accurately and promptly
- Obtain signature for invoices and return the signed copies to office
- Monitor pull dates of products; report out of date products to the Creamery Manager
- Assist in stock handling, packing, lifting and moving of products, supplies, and materials as needed
- Rotate stock so that oldest foods and supplies will be used first
- Assist in loading and unloading truck with wholesale orders for milk, cream, butter, cottage cheese, and other wholesale products
- Assist in cleaning and washing truck as necessary
- Assist with monthly inventory, as needed
- Assist in various rooms in the Creamery, as needed, such as cleaning and packing milk crates
- Operate and clean dishwashing machine
- Mop, hose, and clean various rooms and areas in the Creamery
- Operate various types of powered janitorial equipment such as floor maintenance machines, wet and dry pick-up vacuums, scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.
- Keep refrigerator and freezer areas in a neat and orderly condition
- Assist with the daily cleaning of milk processing and packaging equipment
Job Requirements: Requires the use of commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments, graduates and the like requiring interpretation in their various applications; or the posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data. Up to and including 3 months of effective experience.

NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT YOU OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE AS A PART OF YOUR JOB DUTIES. A VALID DRIVER`S LICENSE AND SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE RECORDS CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO STANDARD BACKGROUND CHECKS.
