Quality Technician – Calibration
Penn United Technologies is now hiring to fill a full-time position in our Quality calibration team, providing calibration services for all Penn United divisions. In this role, you would perform inspection, calibration and documentation responsibilities in order to achieve 100% quality production, and continually improve the manufacturing processes and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Calibrate measurement tools, machinery, and fixtures in a timely manner
  • Work with manufacturing technicians to achieve acceptable product and meet or exceed customer quality standards
  • Enter calibration data into QSI record system
  • File quality documents and records
  • Create and maintain inspection documents on computer
  • Schedule outsourcing of calibration services for equipment when needed
  • Help to perform the duties of Team Leader in their absence
  • Audit manufacturing processes
  • Perform required services for internal teams and external customers as needed
  • Perform housekeeping of inspection equipment and area
Qualifications:
  • Experience with measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, telescoping gages, depth dial gages, etc.. accompanied with a strong understanding of inspection techniques
  • Metrology degree strongly preferred or Journeyman papers in Quality Assurance or CQT certification
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Computer skills on a Windows platform
  • Strong math and reading abilities
  • Team player, service attitude, attention to detail, accurate, self-motivated, quick learner
  • Visual acuity (20/20 vision or corrective lenses)
  • Committed to team development, and product and service excellence
