Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administer proper safety practices and procedures
Ensure excellent customer service through professional operation, customer relations and proper inventory
Prepare annual operating budgets for plant operations.
Meet or exceed budget requirements
Facilitate various operational programs and ensure plant compliance
Maintain appropriate communications with other Pennant manufacturing facilities and offices
Maintain and build job skills through company and outside training programs
Ensure proper management of operating supply purchases via the internal purchase order system or company credit card.
Oversee manufacturing operations.
Meet or exceed quality, productivity and maintenance expectations
Manage proper staffing levels and facilitate employee training, development and career progression
Ensure proper management of all raw materials, finished goods and equipment inventories
Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial reports
Understand and practice PENNANT'S CORE VALUES
Promote a positive and transparent work environment
Installation of Kanban Inventory System
Oversee Daily KPI Tracking – including corrective action to meet targets
Daily Production Floor Presence
Development of Management Staff Leadership and Accountability at Plant
Interface when necessary with Customer
Interface when necessary with Suppliers
Installation of Lean Manufacturing Concepts Through Facility
Installation of SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies) at the facility
Increase Plant Productivity through Production, Equipment and Manpower efficiency
Must have high ownership and stewartship of Plant
Development of future image and targets for facility including internal and external factors
Total Financial Responsibility of Plant – must understand Income Statement and hold ability to analyze variances
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages 3 - 8 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 25 - 150 employees in the Direct Labor, Maintenance, Set-Up, Material Handling, Purchasing, Scheduling, Shipping/Receiving, Tooling and Engineering. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises 5 - 7 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Stamping process manufacturing experience is highly desired
Background of Cost Awareness of production process and cost savings initiatives
Ability to empower the workforce and build strong teams through hiring, developing, evaluating, training, coaching and succession planning.
Strong communication skills and ability to build direct relationships with hourly associates.
Proven ability to manage and lead a diverse workforce strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
Experience in holding employees accountable for working safely and providing a safe work environment.
Proven ability to define performance measures directly related to business and hold people accountable for such.
Proven ability to do financial analysis and review and analyze existing cost data.
