Pennington Commercial is looking for a team player with experience in Construction Accounting. Project Accounting Assistants are responsible for organizing and processing daily accounting activities associated with assigned Commercial Construction Projects.
The Project Accountant is responsible for Client billing, change order preparation, accounts payable and job costing as they relate to assigned projects. Salary commensurate with experience
Job Responsibilities
· Maintain & track all costs related to construction projects.
· Review Contractors bills for accuracy & completeness
· Process invoices, Change Orders, Purchase Orders, and track WIP.
· Prepare Payment application and collections as needed with supporting documents.
· Assist in Project close out, including reconciliation and retainage billing.
· Maintain accounting & job files.
· Additional assignments upon request of Accounting Supervisor
Preferred Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred (or)
· 3-5 yrs. experience in construction accounting a plus
· Knowledge in QuickBooks, Job Runner
· Proficient in AIA (G702/703) formatted billing applications.
· Knowledge with Procure, GC Pay & Textura
· Strong knowledge of Excel
· Ability to work well under pressure.
· Strong organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
