We are hiring for a Graduate Environmental Scientistto join our Van Note-Harvey business and contribute to EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) projects on a full-time, direct basis while based out of our office in thePrinceton, NJarea. This person will be expected to prepare and submit environmental applications & reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, Scientists, Planners, and other professionals in order to assemble regulatory-compliant environmental plans & reports.
- Plan / complete field work and sampling tasks for mapping & reporting purposes.
- Prepare land use applications, environmental applications, and technical reports.
- There will be a mixture of field work and office work in this role.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study); recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
This person will be expected to work in the field so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License and have a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to environmental documentation & regulatory submissions associated with land development and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of US Army Corps of Engineers, NJDEP, and local land use / development regulatory programs.
- Basic understanding of addressing project impacts to wetlands, surface waters & water quality, riparian zones, endangered species, stormwater management, noise, and/or visual resources.
- Proficiency on relevant technical tools (e.g.: CADD, GIS mapping software, etc.); experience with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS is a plus!
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention-to-detail skillswith the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.
- Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
