Job Overview:
PENNEP is seeking a seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with expertise in data warehousing, data engineering, and integration to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecting data solutions specifically tailored to the needs of Medicaid, DHS, and DOL, understanding the nuances of data management and compliance within government and healthcare environments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable data architectures and models optimized for Medicaid, DHS, and DOL data sets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Lead the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions that support complex data integration and analytics needs.
- Define data integration strategies and oversee the development of ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data flows.
- Establish data governance and security frameworks to comply with regulatory standards and safeguard sensitive information.
- Optimize database performance and scalability to handle large volumes of transactional and analytical data.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance data management capabilities and drive innovation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members in data architecture and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in data quality, accessibility, and usability.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and data engineering roles.
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling principles and experience with relational and dimensional data modeling.
- Hands-on expertise with ETL tools, data integration techniques, and data pipeline development.
- Proficiency in SQL, database design, and performance tuning (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of healthcare and government data standards and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Azure SQL Data Warehouse).
- Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and analytics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
