Vehicle Dynamics Engineer - NASCAR

Working in the vehicle dynamics group, the candidate will support the implementation of simulation software within the race teams (NASCAR Cup Series) and the Engineering Department. The candidate will also be responsible for the following items:

Responsibilities

  • Correlation of simulation to track test data
  • Maintenance of simulation input files
  • Race team and Engineering Department support (testing, simulation, performance analysis, etc.)

Requirements 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering along with 2 to 3 years’ work experience, preferably in vehicle dynamics and simulation. Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:

  • MSC ADAMS, Modelica / Dymola , VI-CRT or equivalent vehicle simulations
  • Pi Toolbox, McLaren ATLAS, MoTeC or equivalent data analysis software
  • Programming with C, C#, VB.Net, MATLAB, or equivalent
  • Motorsports engineering, preferably trackside
