Position Summary:
The Project Manager provides support and analysis for Financial Operations. This position's primary responsibility is focused on process management of Penske Truck Leasing’s US and Canada invoice matching process known as PEMS (Penske Electronic Matching System). This system includes Parts Ordering POs and Outside Repair Order POs to invoice matching, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transmissions and manual invoice entry into the system. This position is responsible for maintaining regularly scheduled vendor calls, training, and data analytics. The position will require the ability to design, develop, implement, and maintain databases to ensure process compliance requirements and efficiencies are met. The ability to query, analyze data, and map detailed processes coupled with analytical skills will enable the associate to draw clear and concise conclusions and identify improvement opportunities. This position is also back up support for Penske’s credit card process.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain open communication with Corporate Vendors to aid in timely responses on projects and/or problem resolution.
- Manage and maintain training schedules and conduct training to field associates on how to reconcile accounts and clear suspended invoices.
- Day to day operational support will include supporting the field and making decisions on suspended PEMS items, pricing tolerances, and ensuring EDI transaction come into Penske systems.
- Maintain daily, weekly, monthly reports – PEMS & Pcard
- Support departmental improvement projects in the areas of process management.
- Develop and calculate measures/metrics.
- Assist Leadership Team in developing ROI for projects and initiatives.
- Facilitate automated solutions via multiple applications related to cost savings initiatives.
- Participate in identifying & building process for cost recovery opportunities
- Participate in solutions development projects
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years financial analytics experience required
- At least 3 years of business or operational experience, preferred
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics and/or Accounting, preferred
- Independent problem-solving skills, required
- Ability to foster strong relationships, required
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, handle multiple projects, required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, required
- Strong analytical skills, required
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Access required
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint required
- Knowledge of field/corporate systems (i.e. AS400 (PEMS, RO, AP programs), Savvion) preferred
- Data mining and report tool (experience SQL, Access, etc.) preferred
- Quality program certification (Six Sigma, ISO, LEAN, etc.) preferred
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal
