We have an opportunity for a Product Manager to join our growing Pool & Spa business in Apex, NC. This business is a market leader in pool and spa equipment, offering an innovative product portfolio that includes, pumps, cloud-based automation systems, heating solutions, cleaners, filters, lights, and more! You will refine and optimize the overall product strategy for the Pool Heat Pump product lines by owning the entire product life cycle, including product roadmap and delivery of roadmap items. You will:
- Define, refine, optimize, and execute the product strategy for Pentair’s Pool Heat Pumps products, including owning the product roadmap & delivering on action items utilizing key principals of product life-cycle management.
- Serve as subject matter expert and partner with Sales to drive customer adoption, market penetration & market share growth, while delivering on financial commitments.
- Identify & drive product quality improvements, feature enhancements, cost reduction & warranty reduction opportunities utilizing quantitative & qualitative data, stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, voice-of-the-customer research, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with all cross-functional and category leadership teams (sales, marketing, engineering & manufacturing operations) to deliver product line growth & monthly/quarterly execution to deliver on financial targets.
- Communicate product ideas, opportunities & information across the organization while serving as the key advocate & champion for the Pool Heat Pumps product line.
Key Qualifications:
- Have earned a Bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) degree.
- Have 5 years of applicable experience supporting a product line from a technical or business standpoint. This could include analyzing and evaluating the success metrics of products and features or collaborating with design & engineering teams to deliver innovative products/features.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to manage a portfolio of durable manufactured goods.
- Excellent organizational & project management skills; including experience coordinating multiple, time-sensitive projects.
- Demonstrated ability to be a thought-leader and presenter for key initiatives in an assigned product line with internal and external audiences at all levels.
- Demonstrated financial acumen.
Travel:
- Up to 30% travel (including international as needed) for tradeshows, conferences, customer visits, and other business-related needs.
